“Girls run the world,” Beyoncé once stated. We’ve seen female celebrities dominate the charts and become household names for decades. Who hasn’t heard of Madonna? What is “music” if not Rihanna?
We’re going to salute the 30 best-selling female musicians of all time and look at how they’ve made their careers shine brightly with big songs and lucrative albums. Some of these celebs will likely surprise you, while others will be rather predictable.

Shania Twain has six studio albums, the first four of which reflect some of the most amazing runs of success a contemporary artist has ever had.
She is the first female artist in history to have three (consecutive) diamond albums recognized by the RIAA, and she has sold over 34 million records in the United States alone, making her the top-selling female singer in country music.
Her third album, Come On Over, debuted at number two on Billboard and number one among country albums, earning her a double diamond certification. Shania received four Grammy Awards for the song. Shania eventually topped the Billboard chart in 2002 with her 11-time platinum record Up, and she did it again in 2017 with Now.

Tina Turner set a direction for her solo career with her albums Rough and Love Explosion. Her biggest triumph, however, came with her 1984 comeback album Private Dancer.
