FAQ

Where does singer Billie Eilish live?

Eilish Billie Pirate Baird O’Connell is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Coming from a family of musicians, Eilish was no stranger to music growing up – even at a young age, the singer was already showing a deep interest in becoming a vocalist, actually joining a children’s chorus at age 8. Billie was 11 years old when she began creating and singing her own songs. Her genuine breakthrough came in 2016, when she sang the lead vocals on “Ocean Eyes,” a song penned by her brother Finneas. The song was recorded in Finneas’ modest bedroom at Billie Eilish’s previous Los Angeles home. They ended up uploading it to Soundcloud, where it quickly went viral, propelling Billie Eilish to the top of the pop music charts. Eilish released her first EP Don’t Smile at Me just two years after launching her first song. People can’t get enough of this girl, thanks to her distinct style, heavenly voice, and outrageous music videos. More on it later. The house only has two bedrooms, which was enough for both Billie and Finneas to have their own spaces, while their parents opted to sleep in the living room on a futon to allow their children more room to work on their music. The little house also has just one bathroom.

It’s no surprise that the house has three pianos, since the family is musically minded (Finneas even had an entire recording setup in his room for the siblings to develop songs when inspiration struck). The house was constructed in 1912 and last sold for $240,000 in 2001, according to property records. Presently, the estimated value of a single-family house is roughly $763,400.

Billie offered CBS This Morning’s Gayle King an incredible interview in her home, which aired on December 8th, 2019. You may read about it here. But below is a great video of Billie’s brother Finneas giving AWAL a tour of the home in early 2019.

Finneas O’Connell House

Billie Eilish’s brother and partner in crime, Finneas, dropped $2.73 million on a home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles in October 2019. He was still living in the above-mentioned family house prior to this acquisition.

The almost 100-year-old house has 2,600 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms, and 4.5 bathrooms. The exterior of the home is Spanish inspired with pops of color, and the interior is pristinely renovated.

The home was purchased through a trust linked to Finneas, but rumor has it that his sister may move in, too. Nevertheless, Velvet Ropes has not validated the reports independently.
