Is Coachella better than Glastonbury?

It’s a fight of the titans. Coachella vs. Glastonbury. Both draw an incredible lineup, with tickets selling out in seconds; getting a spot at one of these festivals is like collecting gold dust.

But which is larger, and which is superior? Let’s go through the statistics.

Glastonbury Festival:

Glastonbury is hosted in the peaceful Somerset hamlet of Pilton, which has a population of about 1,000 people.

The festival’s official venue is Worthy Farm, and it spans 150 acres of land with a population of 50 cows and a staggering seven stages to accommodate music legends and, in recent years, media-savvy politicians.

Every year, around 210,000 people attend, representing a significant rise in the general population.

Glastonbury has seen it everything, from The Killers in 2019 to Jeremy Corbyn’s eponymous appearance on the Pyramid stage in 2017.

So, although Glastonbury has featured music and political heavyweights, is it larger than Coachella?

Coachella Festival:

Coachella Festival, on the other hand, is equally well-known. Coachella is the event that inspires envy on Instagram, with golden hour weather, crochet tops, knee-high boots, and a lot of glitter.

So, whereas Glastonbury delivers a true grime experience, Coachella does the reverse by adding a touch of grandeur to what is essentially camping.

It was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Southern California. According to Forbes, it is the seventh most popular music festival, attracting 198,000 attendees.

Among those who have attended have been Leonardo DiCaprio, Kylie Jenner, Paris Hilton, and many more.

Both Glastonbury and Coachella are the pinnacle festival experiences, regardless of size. And it’s definitely one to cross off your bucket list if you have the opportunity.
